My GLP-1 Life: My Story

Just a little about me.  Last October, I started taking Zepbound after years of struggling with my weight.  Believe it or not, I used to be an average size.  But those days are long past.  I’d like to get back to them and live a healthier life.

I started this blog at a friend’s suggestion.  I think she was tired of me telling her about the new thing I had learned about the medication, or supplements, or a food’s protein content. At the time, I thought she would be just as interested since she was taking a GLP-1 med too. But I’ve learned we all deal with weight loss differently.  I take a very structured view, and she flies by the seat of her pants.  Which is a legitimate option, and someday I’ll write about her way of approaching things.

I know you’re probably curious about me and what I look like.  Where I started my weight loss journey and where I am now.  And where I end up.  I’ll update regularly.  Check back and see my progress!

This picture was taken in August of 2025, about two months before I started the medication. I weighed approximately 365 lbs. At one point, a few years ago, I got up to 430, but I don’t have pictures from that time.

Lisa at 317. After taking meds 5 1/2 months - 22 weeks.

This picture was taken the first week of April 2026. I weighed 317 lbs. I started at 371 lbs., so I’d lost 54 lbs. since mid October, 2025. (22 weeks.)

The difference between these two pictures isn’t huge, but I’d dropped 3 pants sizes and 3 shirt sizes. It’s a start!
