Is Vital Pursuit Cauliflower Crust Three Cheese Pizza GLP-1 friendly?

Vital Pursuit pizza is made by Nestlé , targeting those using GLP-1 medication. It’s considered a high protein, portion-controlled meal perfect for this group of consumers. Does it match the hype you see online? I can’t really agree.

The name on the pizza box exclaims it’s everything a GLP-1 user could want. A high protein meal with 4g of fiber and no gluten. Sounds good, right? I’m not so sure.  Yes, it has 20g of protein.  This surpasses other cheese pizzas.  But does high protein content make it everything it is advertised to be?  For me, no, even though it has a lot going for it, I don’t agree.

What was good?  The look and taste of the small pizza impressed me.  After baking it in the air fryer as recommended, the crust’s edges were crunchy, and the cheese was well toasted.  The base of the pizza was thin but firm and had some substance to it.  Since the seasoning was good, the cauliflower crust didn’t bother me, even though it did not taste like a typical pizza crust.

The problem?  I ate about ¾ of the pizza, and the flavor became overpowering, and I felt ill, as if I had eaten something too fatty.  I wouldn’t say the cheese was thick or unusual for pizza, but it does have 16 grams of fat. Which, I’m guessing, is what made me sick.  This aligns with the warnings medication users receive about eating too much fat.  When you also consider that it has 380 calories, this might not be the pizza you want to eat, even though it has 20 grams of protein. While the packaging says it’s a high-protein, GLP-1 friendly food, I think it might have too much fat for that to be true.

I was excited to try this pizza and had even planned my day’s meals around it.  Unfortunately, this will not be something I buy again, no matter how much I would like to. I would still encourage those who aren’t as sensitive to fatty foods to try it, as the flavor was good for a cauliflower crust, and for pizza, the calorie count wasn’t out of line compared to others.  Is it a diet food appropriate for GLP-1 medication users? That’s questionable.

This is a buy at your own risk advisement.  Did it taste good?  Yes, at first.  Adequate seasoning, a crunchy crust, a nice sauce, plenty of cheese.  But consider the fat content before you buy it.
